Hi! A few things to note about my massage and bodywork practice.
My clients are mainly women only. Confidentiality is very important to me and I don't discuss personal information without a clients consent.
I'm not an RMT. I do relaxation massage and the bodywork is a variety of different modalities that help free the body to move into a happier, more functional space.
I reserve some time in the beginning of the session to discuss what the goal of the session is and check in about anything that needs to be followed-up.
The approach I generally take with clients is very holistic to achieve long term solutions for issues interfering with quality of life. When people are functioning at their best, they are able to accomplish more without draining their energy reserves or feeling overly stressed. It's a huge benefit to society to have such powerhouses of givers. Learning to have appreciation for the body that enables us to function in this world and hear what it's saying is so important!
I graduated the Baltimore school of massage therapy in 2008. My instructors were very advanced and specialized in a variety of modalities. This laid the foundation for my ability to learn and use techniques from a variety of different modalities to help my clients. I like to focus mainly on the physical posture and function in the body but will address other issues as they come up so that my client's goals can be achieved.
I mainly work from home which has different pros and cons. I am usually able to be more flexible with my time. It is also common depending on the time of day to hear kids playing upstairs. It also lowers my overhead costs which allows me to make my massages more affordable. Win-win!
I do have clients I go to and sometimes do events. If this might interest you please get in touch to discuss.
